1. Understand the Basics of Crystal Healing:

Before diving into crystal healing, it’s important to familiarize yourself with the basics. Each crystal carries its own unique energy and properties that can support different aspects of your well-being. Some common crystals include amethyst for intuition, rose quartz for love and compassion, citrine for abundance, and clear quartz for clarity and amplification.  There are thousands of crystals to choose from but build your collection up slowly and build your knowledge as you go – Rome wasn’t built in a day!

2. Choose Your Crystals Intuitively:

When selecting crystals for your self-care regime, trust your intuition.  All the knowledge in the world doesn’t replace your intuition.  Visit a local crystal shop or browse online to find stones that resonate with you on a personal level. Pay attention to how each crystal makes you feel when you hold it in your hand or place it near your body. Trust that the right crystals will find their way to you – I can’t tell you how many of the crystal that I own have practically throw themselves off a shelf at me!

3. Cleanse Your Crystals:

Once you’ve acquired your crystals, it’s important to cleanse them before using them in your self-care routine. Crystals absorb energies from their surroundings, so cleansing helps remove any unwanted or stagnant energy they may have picked up along the way. You can cleanse your crystals by placing them under running water, burying them in salt or earth, smudging them with sage or palo santo, or using sound vibrations like singing bowls or bells.

4. Incorporate Crystals into Your Self-Care Routine:

Now the fun bit!

Your crystals are cleansed, it’s time to integrate them into your self-care regime. Here are a few simple ways to do so:

a) Meditation: Find a quiet space, hold your chosen crystal in your hand, and focus on its energy. Allow yourself to be fully present with the crystal, breathing deeply and setting intentions for your meditation session.

b) Crystal Grids: Create a crystal grid by arranging multiple crystals in a geometric pattern. This can be done on a table or even on your body using smaller stones. Choose crystals that intuitively align with your specific intention and place them in shapes or patterns that you feel enhance their collective energy.  There’s no right or wrong.

c) Crystal Elixirs: Infuse the healing energy of crystals into your drinking water by creating crystal elixirs. Place cleansed crystals in a small empty glass jar then place that jar in a jug of water and let it sit under sunlight or moonlight for several hours. Sip this energized water throughout the next day to benefit from the crystal’s vibrations.

d) Crystal Bath: Transform your regular bath into a rejuvenating ritual by adding crystals around the edge of your bath. Select larger tumbled stones or place small crystals in a mesh bag and immerse them in warm water. As you soak, visualize the crystal’s energy enveloping you, promoting relaxation and healing.
